How to get discounted energy prices for low income families

To help make electricity more affordable to low-income households the Texas Legislature created the System Benefit Fund. The system benefit fund provides a 10% rate discount for low-income households.  

Under the PUC's customer protection rules a REP may not charge late fees on the bills of customers enrolled in the LITE-UP Texas program.
